Tendonitis Treatment Using Chinese Herbal Products
Tendonitis is a condition of tendon inflammation that results from acute injury or overuse. Tendons, which attach muscles to bones, do not receive the same amount of oxygen and blood that muscles do; therefore, they heal more slowly than other types of tissues when they are injured. Tendon damage that is the most difficult to heal is at the point where the tendon connects to the bone. The low level of blood supply at this point makes the tendon injury more difficult or even impossible to heal compared to the other side of the tendon which connects to the muscle. The FASTT Patch heals tough to treat tendonitis and other tendon injuries by increasing the local blood flow and lymphatic circulation, as well as by accelerating the local biological activities that are necessary for healing the injured tendon.
Tendonitis can be divided into two stages:
Inflammation stage: there is no apparent scar tissue or calcification (calcium deposits on the tendon)
Degeneration stage: there is apparent scarring and/or calcification
Inflammation Stage Tendonitis:
For inflammation stage tendonitis that is within 3 months of onset, a 3 FASTT Patch treatment should achieve complete healing. For inflammation stage tendonitis that is over 3 months of onset, or if the patient is older, and or the injury is caused by overuse, a 6 FASTT Patch treatment is required for complete healing as well. How long after I injure my achilles tendon before I can return to tennis?
While serving in tennis, I felt my achilles tendon "give". It almost felt like my heel stayed on the ground. After a week of ice and rest it felt better. I tried tennis for 45 minutes with no problems. The 2nd time I tried tennis I felt the "give" in my achilles again. After a few days I can walk fine, and even run w/o pain. What is going on?
