The Durabind 242 is a cost-effective, heavy-duty, legal-sized plastic comb binder with a manual operating mechanism. What's the black plastic thing under the bottom hood on my mercedes benz e320 ?
As I was pulling on out of my garage I heard something and I got out of my car and I look in the in front and there is something black and plastic sticking out. Can I just pull this off and keep it like that? It seems to be tightly in one side.
There is only 1 hood on the car and it's not on the bottom. Are you referring to the hood insulation on the underside of the hood (but it's foam, not plastic)? Or are you referring to the engine under panels (they are plastic)? If you mean the under panels, they are used to suppress engine noise, keep water out from the engine bay, and aid with smoothing out the airflow under the vehicle while at speed.
