Golden Companion II Scooter not moving?
My grandparents recently bought a scooter (Golden Companion II) so that my grandmother can more easily go places.(she has bad knees and no car) it worked great the first few times we used it, but now all of the sudden it doesn't move no matter what we do, we checked and all the connections are good. We are turning the key all the way on and we are sitting on it when we try to get it moving, but nothing works.
Has it been charged regularly? Even when not used for a period of time, it should be charged. If used every day, charge it at night. But keep it charged!
Circuit breaker Check and reset. If it pops early, like when the batteries still show a nearly full charge, it's gone bad. A circuit breaker works on heat caused by current flow (amperage). As the batteries run down, amperage to maintain a speed goes up and it can get to the point it pops the circuit breaker. If the scooter gets bumped into walls quite a bit (common for new riders), forcing the scooter to continue on will weaken the circuit breaker, requiring replacement more quickly.
