Medical Costs here in America?
Yesterday I had the disturbing experience of sitting in a Medical walk in centre here in America. The disturbing part was not the people coming in with injuries or illnesses, but hearing them being told it was 90 dollars to see a doctor and then theres a cost for what ever treatment they may have!! Some with barley a shoe on there foot and pain etched across there faces would turn and walk out. America you may be leaders in some things but this is a disgrace. I would love to have secretly recorded what was going on and once a gain show the world what America is really about...MONEY
Its a very very sad fact but its true, who can afford this kind of treatment, very few!!
Yup. I've lived here for 6 years and I still can't get over the health system here. It's pretty dire. Sadly many Americans have read the worst cases of Canadian and UK systems and think they couldn't possibly handle that. Yet in UK & Canada rarely do you hear of people holding fundraisers to get basic treatments or never hear of people going bankrupt over health costs. Or being dropped by an insurance carrier because the cancer has gone on too long and got too expensive.
Don't get me wrong, I love America but if I ever go back home, it will be because of the health care system.
