How to clean a Windbreaker?
I have a white windbreaker with black stripes on the sides, I guess the material is like that material that goes "swish, swish", and the thing is that it's been in my closet for about 4 years and now that I want to wear it, I noticed that it had dirt/sweat stains on the back of the collar, on the end of the sleeves(close to the hands) and this jacket has pockets and the dirt/sweat stains are on them as well... Anyone know how I can clean this windbreaker jacket and turn it from a dirty looking jacket into a nice white color again?
I would wash it in the washing machine on delicate setting with color safe bleach... like clorox. Before you wash it, put some of the color safe bleach right on the areas that seem stained. Let it soak for a couple of hours. Then wash like I stated above. It may be best to let it hang dry, that kind of material is not always dryer friendly. The color safe bleach is great and I use it all the time to get blood stains out of my diabetic sons clothing...
