I think I may have Postural kyphosis??

I'm a 13-year-old and just recently I've discovered a small bump on my spine in my upper back about where the neck starts.

The first thing is to find out if you have kyphosis. The second thing is to figure out what type you have (functional, structural)? The kind of kyphosis that you have will determine what kind of treatment is best for you.

Just because you slouch doesn't mean that you have functional kyphosis (although it does increase the chances).

I'd suggest having your family doctor look at your back. If he/she says you have kyphosis, get a referral to a scoliosis specialist (scoliosis, kyphosis, and lordosis are variants of the same thing). Your specialist will give you exercises, PT, or whatever is needed to treat the condition.
