Should I start wearing a thigh support?

In March I tore my hamstring doing the right front splits at a party. I hadn't warmed up or anything (stupid, I know). I went to hospital and got wrongly diagnosed as having a torn adductor. I had two weeks off school (I'm 13) and visited the physio. She told me I had instead torn my hamstring. After several check-ups, I believe it mostly healed. However, I didn't do any particularly strenuous sports, apart from the occasional gymnastics session.

Stephi, what you need is to start working on a strengthening program. The hamstring is still not strong enough and you are straining it. A thigh wrap is not going to do anything except keep it warm. Sit in a straight chair and place the feet flat on the floor. Cross the uninjured leg in front of the injured leg. Cross that ankle in front of the injured one. Now pull back into the injured leg with your uninjured leg for about 5 seconds and then rest for a second or two. Do this again until you have done between 5 and 10 movements. Now rest for 1 minute. Repeat this cycle twice more. Now switch legs and do the same with the injured leg. Just pull back as hard as you can for those few seconds and then rest. Do as many reps per set as you can. Do this movement a few times a day. This will help to increase the strength of the hamstrings. I would recommend that you go to a gym and use two specific machines to strengthen the legs. The horizontal leg press and the prone, on stomach, hamstring curl machine. With the hamstring machine use a weight that is comfortable enough to allow you to do 15 reps per set.
