Choosing The Costume For Your Toddlers During Halloween by MIKE SELVON
As a new parent, you're likely full of anxiety and apprehension about your little bundle of joy. A costume seems like the least of your worries when you think of all the other dangers surrounding Halloween, such as cars being unable to see you and your baby in the dark or what to do with your baby at a Halloween party.
By taking a few proper safety precautions, you can ensure a happy Halloween regardless. Your best bet, if you decide to trick or treat, is to take the baby out before dark, just after dinner, with your other children.
Choose colorful costumes and add reflective tape to the stroller and part of the costume. Halloween is a fun holiday and your baby will love the novelty of his or her costume design.
Ideally, a costume will be comfortable, not too hot, not too cold and easy to undo for changing time. There shouldn't be any appendages that will irritate the baby or trip the toddler.
Remember that material-wise cotton is durable and comfortable, when compared to polyester, and plush fabrics are snuggly for the baby, but not necessarily so if you live in muggy Florida. Be sure to look over the costume design for anything that might be pulled off or choked on.
Avoid buying masks or using face paints on your baby and if you plan on participating in a trick or treat romp around the neighborhood to show off your newborn, then be sure you and your stroller are highly visible with reflective tape and light colors. Most importantly, check the label to be sure the outfit is flame retardant and machine washable! Now that you know the safety tips, it's time to think more creatively about finding the best infant and toddler costumes.
For your toddler, newborn or infant, whether they are walking or not, visit "Annies Costumes" for the costume you want. If your princess dribbles on her dress, then you can try a fine fabric cleaner and cold water via hand-wash. "Dry clean only" costumes may not be worth the money if they'll never be worn again. If you only paid $6.95 for it, then why bother paying $20 to clean it? Checking the label and opt for machine washable, and feed your baby with bibs or in another outfit before getting dressed up for Halloween fun!

How long does it take to heal after a tri-malleolar surgery?
I had tri-malleolar surgery on August 11, 2008. Right now, I'm receiving physical therapy (Already had 10 and will have 10 more). I can walk for only 8 min. with the help of a Winnie Walker, then I need to rest for about an hour, and try to walk again later. It has been a very painful injury and recovery. When will I get back to normal?
It sounds like your progress has been slow for this type of injury. Without knowing the extenuating circumstances and your general health, I would say it would be difficult to make a prognosis. I would not expect you would be needing to use a walker at this point and that you can walk further than 8 minutes. I recently saw someone for this for 3 months, and it would have been more like 8-10 weeks if she didn't also have rheumatoid arthritis.
I would discuss with your PT what factors could be contributing to your slow recovery.
